Turiya Yoga
Inner Evolution
Seven months to deepen how you live and teach.
A long-form in-person immersion rooted in sustained practice and live transmission — for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners seeking depth, clarity, and an embodied relationship with the natural rhythms of life.
Held in Kelowna, BC
Sept 2026 - March 2027
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You’ll hear from me personally after applying.
When practice is present, yet something feels unfinished…
You may already have a steady practice.
You may already teach or carry a deep personal relationship with yoga.
You may already know the value of discipline, devotion, and showing up.
And still, something feels incomplete.
Not broken
Not wrong.
Just unresolved.
Practice continues.
Insight comes.
Integration is hard to sustain.
For some, this shows up as fatigue. As repetition without deepening. As moving from practice to practice, still sensing there’s something more steady you’re looking for. Something that can actually take root.
This is usually the point where short formats stop being enough… not because they failed,
but simply because you’ve grown past what they can offer.
If you’re here, it’s likely not because you’re seeking something new —
but because you’re ready to commit to a path you’re already on.
Why depth requires more than instruction…
There is a difference between learning about a practice and learning within a living one.
Transmission doesn’t happen through explanation alone.
It unfolds through presence, relationship, and time.
It’s felt in how practice is held.
In what’s emphasized and what’s left alone.
In how attention is guided and allowed to mature.
This is why depth becomes difficult to access in short formats.
Transmission requires continuity. Practice is lived, not performed.
What live transmission makes possible…
Over time, live transmission allows practice to settle into the body and nervous system, not just the mind.
This changes:
How discipline is experienced
How insight becomes embodied
How teaching arises from lived understanding rather than repetition
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is extracted.
The work unfolds through sustained contact.
This is why Inner Evolution is held as a seven-month, in-person immersion, not to intensify the work, but to allow it to land.
How this serves both practitioners and teachers:
For practitioners, transmission brings steadiness. Practice becomes something you live with.
For teachers, it refines how teaching arises. Presence begins to carry more than words.
In both cases, the result is the same: a grounded, reliable relationship to practice within daily life.
Structure & Rhythm of the Immersion
-
Inner Evolution unfolds over seven months as a steady, in-person immersion.
The structure prioritizes continuity rather than intensity, allowing practice and insight to mature over time instead of being compressed into short formats.
This is a long-form container designed to support depth that can be lived with.
-
The training is anchored by regular in-person gatherings held in Kelowna, BC.
These gatherings establish the shared field where practice is refined, guidance is offered directly, and transmission takes place through relationship rather than instruction alone.
The in-person format keeps the work grounded in lived experience.
-
Time between in-person sessions is an essential part of the work.
Rather than adding more content, this period allows practice to settle into daily life, where insight is tested, integrated, and clarified through real conditions.
Nothing is rushed. The rhythm is deliberate.
-
Inner Evolution is not structured to fill every week with material.
It is designed to support:
consistency over intensity
relationship over accumulation
integration over performance
This allows the work to remain alive, responsive, and sustainable over time.
-
This structure is well suited for those who:
value depth over speed
are willing to commit to a long-form process
want practice to integrate into life, not compete with it
Seven months isn’t about doing more.
It’s about giving practice the conditions it needs to take root.
Who this immersion is for:
Inner Evolution is for those who sense there is more to be experienced, and are ready to meet that inquiry with depth, discipline, and care.
This includes:
Yoga teachers seeking greater depth, clarity, and integrity in how they teach
Dedicated practitioners who may not wish to teach, but want practice to become more fully integrated into daily life
People drawn to traditional lineage, rather than trends or spiritual performance
Those who value discipline, consistency, and sincerity over novelty
This work asks for presence, patience, and commitment, not intensity for its own sake.
Who this immersion is not for:
Inner Evolution is likely not the right fit if you are:
Looking for quick breakthroughs or short-term transformation
Seeking a purely informational or technique-based training
Interested primarily in certification without a willingness to engage in the inner work
Drawn to spiritual language without a desire for grounded, embodied practice
There is no rush here, and no need to force readiness.
This immersion is designed for those who feel ready to commit to a long-form process, not to start something new, but to deepen what is already underway.
What often changes when practice is held this way…
When practice is held within a steady, long-form container, changes tend to emerge gradually, not as dramatic breakthroughs, but as a different quality of being in daily life.
The mind often becomes quieter and more at ease.
Thoughts still arise, but they carry less charge.
Attention steadies.
For some, this shows up as a deeper sense of connection, not as an idea, but as a lived experience woven into daily life. For others, it’s a growing capacity to stay present with discomfort, uncertainty, or intensity without needing to escape or override it.
The body softens and becomes more responsive, not only more flexible, but more capable of meeting the demands of the day without holding unnecessary tension.
The emotional landscape changes as well.
The heart becomes more available.
Feelings move through more cleanly, without taking over or lingering in the same way.
Over time, this creates a form of meditation that is not confined to a cushion or a technique. The whole system becomes more meditative, more settled, more present, more at ease.
As effort reduces, energy is used more efficiently. There is often a greater sense of space and grace in how life is met, even on long days, in uncertainty, or without clear structure.
For those who teach, this often translates into greater clarity and confidence. Teaching becomes simpler. Less effortful. More rooted in lived understanding than in accumulation or performance.
For many, this work is also accompanied by a sense of belonging. Inner Evolution unfolds within a living community, a growing sangha connected through shared practice, inquiry, and mutual support that often extends well beyond the duration of the training itself.
These shifts don’t separate practice from life. They inform how you show up, in work, in relationships, in moments of challenge, and in encounters with people you’ve never met before.
Nothing here is forced.
Nothing is promised.
What changes tends to arise naturally when practice is given the time, space, and continuity it needs to mature.

-
For the Turiya Yoga Inner Evolution program, Gilly and Dianna will be leading us in a sacred Sweat Lodge Ceremony in the Lakota tradition. The Sweat Lodge Ceremony is a sacred time of connecting with our Ancestors and our Creator through prayer. The lodge itself is a dome structure which represents the womb of Mother Earth. The main purpose is to purify our thoughts, bodies and emotions. A fire is built outside where 29 rocks or “grandfathers” are heated for hours. 7 grandfathers are brought into the centre pit of the lodge for each of the 4 rounds which last approximately 20 to 40 minutes. Each round is started with a song accompanied by drums or rattles and we acknowledge the 4 aspects of our being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, the 4 directions, the 4 races, the 4 elements, and the 4 stages of life, following the traditions of the sacred medicine wheel. Learn more about the Sweat Lodge here.

-
As part of Inner Evolution, Brett will offer a focused three-hour immersion in anatomy and kinesiology, grounding yogic practice in a clear, functional understanding of the human body.
This session is designed to support practitioners and teachers in:
understanding how bones, joints, muscles, and connective tissue relate to asana
recognizing functional movement patterns rather than idealized shapes
developing greater clarity around safety, adaptability, and individual variation
bridging lived somatic experience with anatomical insight
Brett’s approach integrates his background in physiotherapy, anatomy, and meditation, offering anatomy not as abstract information, but as a way to deepen embodiment, discernment, and confidence in practice.
The emphasis is not on memorization, but on practical understanding — supporting a relationship with the body that is informed, responsive, and grounded in direct experience.
